The Good Neighbor Initiative

Living for the Sake of Others

The Good Neighbor Initiative is our vision for 2026 and beyond. It is more than a one-year theme - it is a step we are taking as a community to seed and cultivate the next phase of our culture. Living for the sake of others is not just the posture of Jesus, it is the foundation of what it means for Oaks to be a neighborhood church.

Together, we will take up a collective commitment to intentionally invest in our neighborhoods through presence, service, and prayer: We will gather for community moments that root us in the life of our city. We will prepare our Neighborhood Groups with a Contemplative Action Guide and the church as a whole with continuation of our Story of God sermon series. We will seek ways to come alongside organizations and people doing good work. And we will open the doors of our church for prayer.
