Resources

So often we compartmentalize our lives, but God wants to be Lord over all of us - our hearts and minds, our spirits, and our physical bodies. Below are some resources to connect with as we pursue wholeness and holiness, becoming more mature physically, emotionally, relationally and spiritually.

Meeting with a professional counselor may be for you if you are processing trauma, a big life change or grief. If you are looking for counseling, we recommend the following practices and therapists.

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction is a process that involves responding to God’s invitation to draw closer in relationship. In our busy lives, it can be difficult to notice God’s Presence in our daily affairs. Spiritual direction is meant to help an individual to notice, reflect, discern and discover where God is present and active in the everyday life and to make choices based on that awareness.

*Please note that Oaks does not provide oversight for the counselors or Spiritual Directors listed here. If you have questions about someone or an agency listed here, please contact them directly to get a better understanding of who they are and the services they offer.

A Journey Through Grief

Loss is universal and unavoidable, therefore, to be human means that we will experience grief. And yet, grief is also deeply personal. There is a uniqueness to every response towards loss. We have created a resource for your to use to lament, remember and share during your grief.
