Youth

To be known

To the youth of Brooklyn - We believe that you are worth knowing! Our team of compassionate and faith-filled leaders is here to walk with you and help you find your place in God's story.

Our youth group is for grades six-twelve. Join us for gatherings on the first three Wednesdays of each month from 7 - 8:30 p. m. We start with a mixer and worship, followed by a short, relevant teaching, then end with discussion and prayer.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Parents are encouraged to drop off and pick up their teens.

Interested in joining us? Parent with a question? Email Raul, our Pastor of Kids, Youth and Families.

About Raul

I was born and raised in the mix of all that is East L.A: skateboarding, taco stands, graffiti art and more. I went to church as a kid but I found it boring and outdated, so whenever Sunday came around, I played the - ‘I’m sick’ - card, then eventually stopped going. That is, until my junior year in high school. At 17, I had a tangible experience of God and felt an overwhelming sense of His love and forgiveness. I was never the same. Jesus became real to me.

Since then I’ve wanted people to meet the real Jesus - not the cliche life-less Jesus so many are familiar with but the relevant, powerful, and loving Jesus. So I completed some internships in the inner city and suburbs working with youth, served on staff at a church in Hollywood, and earned a degree from Fuller Seminary. My heart is to see families experience the abundant life that Jesus offers. Today, my wife Ashley and I live in Clinton Hill with our dog, Baby Puppy (yes that’s his real name).
