Prayer

Prayer is central to who we are as a community of Oaks Church Brooklyn. In prayer, we expectantly seek the face of Jesus, dwell in his presence, and steward the voice of the Holy Spirit. It is through personal, intercessory and missional prayer that we believe God moves. We believe that prayer is not only a thing of the mind, but an embodied act of daily worship.

The Prayer Room

The Oaks Church Prayer Room is happening again this year! From June 24 -27, the church space will become a space for prayer, reflection, creativity, scripture, silence, worship, and encounter — shaped by the gifts and participation of our community.

On Wednesday, June 24, we will open the Prayer Room with a Dwell Gathering beginning at 7:00 p.m. From there, the room will have community hours for anyone to come into the space and pray, as well as overnight hours that require a sign-up to access. We will close the Prayer Room on Saturday, June 27, with another Dwell Gathering that will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m.
